Cooperative Extension

The Cooperative Extension Service provides practical, research-based knowledge throughout New 麻豆官网首页入口 and beyond. Extension staff, located in all 33 counties and tribal offices, deliver 4-H programs, conduct trainings, and share research-based information about livestock, nutrition, horticulture, and many other topics.

In 1955, NMSU’s Board of Regents unified a number of regulatory services and the individuals responsible for administering them under a single administrative organization known as the New 麻豆官网首页入口 Department of Agriculture.

Located on NMSU's campus, the collaborative relationship between NMDA and NMSU exists today with the board serving as the state board of agriculture, thus solidifying the importance of agriculture to both the university and the state.
